‘Whale shaped’ world’s largest cargo plane Airbus Beluga lands at Mumbai airport: Watch video

Commuters and passengers cheered with joy at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai as they witnessed the landing of the world’s largest cargo airplane, the Airbus Beluga. The Beluga is known for its ability to transport sizable aerial cargo and is currently the world’s “largest cargo aircraft” after the Antonov An-225, which was once reported as the world’s largest aircraft. which was destroyed in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War. On the other hand, the Airbus A380 remains the largest passenger airliner in the world.

Mumbai airport was selected by the airline on the basis of infrastructure strength and technical parameters. The Airbus Beluga, with its bizarre whale-shaped hull, remains the world’s largest cargo plane and has a unique shape that attracts plane watchers globally.

Airbus Beluga has been making frequent landings in India and has recently landed at Hyderabad and Kolkata airports in the last few months. It also landed at Mumbai International Airport in November 2022, whose pictures were shared by Mumbai Airport.

The name Airbus ‘Beluga’ comes from the beluga whale. The Airbus Beluga is used to transport large and heavy objects such as vehicles and various space programs. Additional demand is being seen in larger aircraft.
