The Kia EV6 will be available in RWD and AWD options, with the former offering 528 kms and the latter offering 425 kms (WLTP cycles) on a single charge.

In contrast, the Kia EV6 AWD variant will use a dual-motor set-up – one on each axle. The combined form of both the electric motors is 320 Bhp and 605 Nm. Clearly, the AWD variant will be the more fun to drive option on sale, but it will also come at the cost of range, which is limited to 425 km (WLTP cycles) on a single charge. The top speed of both RWD and AWD is 183 kmph. However, it does 0-100 kmph which is quite different for both the versions with the RWD version clocking in at 7.3 seconds while the AWD model does it in 5.2 seconds. The high-performance EV6 GT packs 577 bhp and 740 Nm and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 260 kmph. It needs to be seen whether this specific variant will make its way to India.

The leaked brochure also reveals that the Kia EV6 will have ultra-fast charging and will drain 10-80 percent of the battery in just 18 minutes. However, it comes with a 350 kW DC fast charger. Using the more accessible 50 kW DC fast charger, the battery will charge from 10-80 percent in about 73 minutes. While it is not mentioned in the leaked brochure, it is likely that the automaker will offer an 11 kW AC slow charger as standard with the EV6, which can be installed at the customer’s home or office. Charging time should extend to hours, with a full charge taking around 6-8 hours.
