After announcing the ‘Reactions’ feature for users, the WhatsApp messaging app is now rolling out another useful feature: the ability to add up to 512 people to groups. However, this feature has been rolled out to some people and is not available to everyone.

WhatsApp is also starting to share media files up to 2GB, which is ‘protected’ by end-to-end encryption. The Facebook-backed platform tested the new range in Argentina a while back, and the company is now ready to release it to everyone.

“You now send up to 2GB of files at once to WhatsApp, which are protected by end-to-end encryption. This is an increase from the previous limit of 100MB and we think it’s great for collaboration between small businesses and school groups.” would be helpful,” WhatsApp said in a blog post.

The messaging app said it will also show a counter while uploading or downloading to let you know how long your transfer will take.

Meanwhile on Friday WhatsApp introduces ‘Reaction feature’ For all its users which will make it easier for users to send emoji in single messages. Until now, a user had to type an emoji to respond to a message. However, starting today this will be done immediately by tapping and holding the message you want to respond to.

The WhatsApp reaction feature will work just like Instagram and Facebook Messenger.

  • You can react to messages in your individual and group chats with emoji. You can see all the reactions to a message by tapping the reaction emoji at the bottom of the message.
  • A user can add only one response per message. Responses to disappearing messages will disappear when the message is gone.

  • When you add a response, only the sender of the message will receive a notification that the response is being made.
  • Long press on the message.
  • Tap to select one of the emoji displayed.

  • You can change your response to another.
  • Long press on the message to which you responded.
  • Tap another emoji.

get a response

  • You can delete your reaction to a message. If you delete a response, the notification will not be sent to the sender of the message.
  • Long press on the message to which you responded.
  • Tap the emoji you’ve reacted to to remove it.
