WhatsApp is working to bring Communities to its business app

New Delhi: Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly working to bring Communities to its WhatsApp Business application on Android. According to a WABetaInfo report, the Business tab introduced last year is unlikely to be removed from the platform. Instead, it may add a new entry point for the new feature within the Applications menu.

When users open ‘Communities’ within the menu, they will see a list of all the communities they have created and joined in the past, including all their subgroups and community announcement groups. The report adds that the ability to create, manage and use communities on WhatsApp Business is still under development, so it’s not ready to be released to beta testers yet. ,Also read: Google India hands over pink slips to over 400 employees,

In November last year, the messaging platform had announced new features for better commerce experience for users and help them connect with their favorite brands as well as discover new ones on the platform.
