WhatsApp is bringing more features to its Linked Devices tool for Android and iOS users in the near future. See here how it works.

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to message themselves from multiple devices connected to their WhatsApp account. Now, we’re not sure what exactly makes this feature work, but a new report suggests that people will see their name in the WhatsApp chat list when you link from a PC, iOS, and Android device.

The feature is still in development, but WABetaInfo says it will soon be available to iOS and Android beta testers.

The tipster says that when a user logs into his WhatsApp account from mobile, his name will appear at the top of the chat list. It’s interesting to hear about this option, especially since the Linked Devices feature on WhatsApp doesn’t support secondary mobile devices yet. But the report states that WhatsApp is working on this as well.

Again, like we said, we don’t really know whether WhatsApp has to prioritize this feature right now. Granted, support for other mobiles is sure to come.

We are hoping that WhatsApp will make some more changes to make this feature more relevant and useful for its users. Providing the ability to chat with you can come in handy for those who want to create a quick note and sync it to other devices at the same time.

Apart from this, WhatsApp is coming with more privacy centric features for its users in the coming months. It has already introduced an expanded version of Missing Messages for mobile users, and now lets you transfer files up to 2GB, and also encrypts chats backed up to the cloud.
