WhatsApp may soon bring ‘undo’ button for deleted messages – Times of India

WhatsApp Allows users to delete messages, and if you sent something wrong, you can delete them for everyone, even in groups (up to about an hour). “Delete for everyone” has proved to be one of the best features of WhatsApp in recent years. But what if you accidentally delete a message for everyone? WhatsApp might have a solution for you as it is reportedly working on an ‘undo’ option for deleted messages.
According to WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned instant messaging app is working on a feature simply called ‘Undo’ to retrieve deleted messages. The feature is said to be in early testing right now, so a small batch of WhatsApp Android Beta users are getting the ‘Undo’ feature. This feature is reportedly being rolled out with WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.22.13.5. The app will show users an ‘undo’ button at the bottom of the screen, which reportedly appears after a user selects a message delete for all,
As mentioned earlier, this feature is currently available only for select beta users of WhatsApp for Android. There is no word on when and if the ‘undo’ feature will be available to other beta users of WhatsApp for Android, iOS and desktop. Also, we don’t know when this feature will appear on stable builds or not as there have been instances when an under-development feature never made it into stable builds.
Apart from the ‘undo’ button, WhatsApp is also working on a feature to edit a message even after it has been sent. The company recently increased the file sharing limit from 100MB to 2GB.
