WhatsApp may soon let you undelete messages – Times of India

We all face a moment when we have to delete a message for everyone on WhatsApp. But sometimes, we accidentally delete a message or worse, delete it just for ourselves instead of others. do not worry now; WhatsApp Have your back with a new oneundo‘ button for deleted messages.
Earlier this year in July WABetaInfo The report states that WhatsApp is testing a new ‘Undo’ button to recover messages if they are accidentally deleted. Now, the feature is reportedly rolling out to a handful of WhatsApp users Android Beta version 2.22.18.13. However, the button appears only if users have deleted a message for themselves.
How WhatsApp’s Undo Feature Works
When a user deletes a message for themselves using the ‘Delete for me’ button, a floating snackbar notification appears showing an ‘Undo’ button at the bottom. The notification also confirms that the message has been deleted. Note that the ‘Undo’ button will only be visible for a few seconds, but WhatsApp may decide to extend the duration later.
We can expect the ‘Undo’ button to appear in the stable version of the app soon as this feature has already arrived in the beta version. However, there’s no word on when the ‘undo’ button will be available to everyone.
Meta-owned WhatsApp is also working on an option to edit the message sent. Even the ability to save missing messages is under development.
