WhatsApp’s new feature allows adding description to forwarded messages

New Delhi: Meta-owned WhatsApp has released a new feature allowing users to add description to forwarded images, videos, GIFs and documents on Android, which is currently available to some beta testers. According to WABetaInfo, this feature can come in handy if the existing caption doesn’t describe the image accurately or if you want to add a different description.

The new description will be sent as a separate message, deleting the existing caption and replacing it with your own caption. This will help ensure that recipients know it is not related to the original message. ,Also read: 4 best smartphones you can consider buying under Rs 10,000 – check out the list,

Users will now be able to add more context to the forwarded media they send, as this will enable them to give a brief description of why they forwarded the media, and also their thoughts, opinions or feelings about the content shared. ,ALSO READ: Amazon CEO’s total pay in 2022 to drop by 99% compared to 2021,
