When Hema Malini Revealed The REAL Reason Why She Never Visited Dharmendra’s House: ‘Even My Daughters…’ – News18

Hema Malini opens up on Dharmendra’s first wife.

Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s marriage has always dominated the headlines. Dharmendra married Prakash Kaur in 1954 and Dream Girl in 1984.

Dharmendra, Bollywood’s original He-Man, tied the knot with his first wife, Prakash Kaur, way back in 1954 at just 19. They share four kids — two sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, both of whom are Bollywood stars, and two daughters, Vijeta and Ajieta. In 1980, he married the Dream Girl herself, Hema Malini, and they have two beautiful daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol, together. Hema revealed in her biography titled Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl, written by journalist and filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee, that she’s never met Prakash Kaur, choosing not to disrupt the family vibe.

Hema Malini had revealed that she has never stepped foot in Dharmendra’s home. From the start, she was firm about not wanting to interfere with his ‘other’ family. While she had crossed paths with Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur, at various social events before their marriage, the two have not met since Hema became his wife.

She had said, “I didn’t want to disturb anyone. I am happy with whatever Dharamji did for me and my daughters. He played the role of a father, like any father would do. I guess I am happy with that. Today I am a working woman and I have been able to maintain my dignity because I have devoted my life to art and culture.” She also added that she has a lot of respect for Prakash Kaur. “Though I have never spoken about Prakash, I respect her a lot. Even my daughters respect Dharamji’s family. The world wants to know about my life in detail, but that is not for others to know. It’s no one’s business,” she added.

Esha Deol is reportedly the only one from Hema Malini’s family to have visited Dharmendra’s house. When Dharmendra’s younger brother, Ajit Singh Deol, who is also Abhay Deol’s father, was bedridden and unwell, Esha, eager to see her uncle, paid him a visit.
