‘When I landed…’: BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain’s witty reply on Bihar’s change of guard watch

The pace of change in Bihar in the last two days was such that BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain could not survive. But, his witty reply about change of government to media persons after landing in Patna from Delhi is going viral and has become the subject of many memes on social media. In the video, Hussain is saying, ‘When I took a flight from Delhi as the Industries Minister of Bihar, the landing took place, then it came to know that I am no longer a minister. The government had changed overnight!

Industry minister in the previous government, Hussain claims that he was not aware of the activities going on in his home state. Nitish Kumar broke ties with BJP. The minister was inaugurating the Investment Project Promotion Office in Delhi in his capacity as the industry minister of the state, but he had no idea that the cabinet was also being dissolved.

Hussain tweeted on Tuesday, β€œTo bring investment in industry to Bihar and further accelerate the pace of industrialization of the state, Bihar Investment Promotion Office was launched today at State Emporia Bhawan, Connaught Place, Delhi. Principal Secretary Industries Department Shri @SandeepPoundrik ji and officers of the department were present.

Back in Bihar, Nitish Kumar left the BJP in a matter of a day to form an alliance with the RJD and the Congress. On Wednesday, he along with RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav took oath as the chief minister for the eighth time as a deputy.

Even at the event in Delhi, Hussain avoided questions about changing the guard. He said that he was not aware of it. β€œI am leaving Patna by 3 pm. I haven’t found any information about this. We have worked hard day and night to bring the industry back on track. Hopefully the industry will be on track,” he had said.
