WHO: Omicron-induced covid can cause death in some people. take this caution

The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued another alert regarding Omicron, saying that the COVID19 disease caused by Omicron can be mild or severe. For some people, the symptoms can even lead to death. This comes at a time when over 63,000 people died due to COVID globally last week.

Furthermore, using the pattern of the trending word game Wordle, the UN health agency has listed 6 protocols to avoid getting infected with Omicron. Sharing it on Twitter, WHO chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Twitter, it’s not words, it’s science. Do everything possible to protect yourself from COVID19.

Get vaccinated: Getting vaccinated provides strong protection against serious illness, hospitalization, and death from Omicron. Get vaccinated as soon as it’s your turn.

Keep a safe distance and avoid crowds: Keeping a safe distance from other people and avoiding crowds is an easy way to reduce your risk of catching and spreading omicrons.

Wear a well fitted mask: Wearing a mask that fits snugly over your mouth and nose is a great way to avoid getting infected with COVID19. It can also prevent you from passing the virus on to someone else.
