Hot, satiating and delicious are the things that best define momos! This street food with spicy red chutney is an undeniable classic for those looking for some indulgence. Over the years, our love for momos has grown so much that we now see a change from tandoori momos to gravy momos. And one such variation that has surfaced recently is Bahubali Gold Momo! Yes, you read that right! This huge two kg gold momo is stuffed with delicious vegetables, paneer and topped with a coating of edible 24 karat gold. With this unique spin on our regular momos, Bahubali Gold Momos has really grabbed the attention of many.

In a video uploaded by Instagram user @whatafoodiegirl, she claims it is “India’s first gold momo” made by Macy Adda Cafe; in Mumbai. The giant gold momo comes in a round steel box with sliced carrots in the middle and edible gold around it. The momo weighs two kilograms and comes in a combination with one orange mint mojito, two chocolate momos and three dipping-spicy chutney, mayonnaise and mint chutney.
This delicious looking giant momo can easily be shared between six to eight people and is priced at Rs 1,299.

While many thought this Baahubali gold momo would taste really good, some said it was “overpriced” and “won’t taste good.”
One of the users said “this is something new, I totally ditch that big momo”. Some other users also added that “by no means, gold plating does not affect the taste, taste, texture or aroma, nor is it supposed to make it appetizing.”
