Chandigarh: Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu On Sunday, he said he would never be a showpiece to win elections and would never lie to the people of the state to come to power.
The cricketer-turned-politician said that he never asked for any position in his life but always wanted the welfare of Punjab.

“Responsibility either makes you better or bitter. I have a bitter experience. I had a role in forming three governments in Punjab. I was campaigning. But in this system, a good man is made a showpiece. He It is kept only to win elections.
Sidhu said, “I will never be a showpiece… I will never lie to the people of Punjab to come to power. Can anyone say that I have ever lied? Because I have nothing to lose.” ”

He further said that he is committed to the Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi And Priyanka Gandhi Vadra,
“I am committed to two people. I have seen them very closely and I am sure they are good people and not fake – Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi.
The state Congress chief said, “I gave my word to them and will stick to it. But I also stand by my words for the welfare of the people of Punjab and not to bring anyone to power.”
He insisted that he would do whatever duty was given to him by the party but would never betray the people of Punjab.
