The Delhi Congress unit on Monday held a meeting at the party office regarding preparations for the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Rahul Gandhi. The meeting was attended by top state leaders including the controversial Jagdish Tytler.

“We will participate because we are in favor of what he (Rahul Gandhi) is doing. So, we will participate in a big way,” Congress leader Jagdish Tytler, who was reportedly sidelined by the Congress high command after his name cropped up in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, said.

The yatra will enter Delhi on December 24 and after a break of about eight days, it will move towards Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and finally Jammu and Kashmir.

There is a lot of excitement about the upcoming Bharat Jodi visit to Delhi and we have made good preparations to welcome the visit here. Congress workers, general public and civil society members want to join the yatra. The visit will be historic,” said Congress leader Ajay Maken.
