Heart attack cases are increasing rapidly since Kovid. Doctors at Delhi’s Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital said that there has been an increase in cases of heart attacks and sudden cardiac death among the elderly as well as the young. Dr. Tarun Kumar, Professor, Department of Cardiology, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Delhi, said, ‘Many cases of sudden cardiac death have been seen, in which there have been many cases of sudden fainting or heart attack while doing gym. Such videos have also come to the fore, in which people suddenly fall and die while dancing or walking. Such cases are only heart attack patients, in which cases of sudden cardiac death are reported. Heart attack is the cause of sudden cardiac death. ,

Dr. Tarun also told that cases of Influenza virus H3N2 have also come to the fore in the present time itself, in which symptoms like cough, cold, fever and body ache are being seen. He said, “Difficulty in breathing is also being seen. Sometimes the patient also needs to be hospitalized, but did not say anything about whether there has been an increase in heart attack cases due to this virus.” But after the corona virus, it has been observed that there has been an increase in the cases of heart attacks and more cases are being reported among the elderly as well as the youth.”

He further said, “Recently a case of heart attack was reported in a 20-year-old youth and for some time cases of heart attack have increased among the youth, the main reason for this is the change in your lifestyle during Corona. Khan- People’s habits have changed. People are also moving towards bad lifestyle instead of healthy lifestyle. Due to increasing weight of many people, their lifestyle has also changed.

The doctor also highlighted that earlier heart attacks were mostly seen in people of 60 years of age, but now cases of heart attacks are also being seen in youths of 20 to 30 years of age and the important reason behind this is your lifestyle. Could be a bad lifestyle. Unhealthy food, smoking and alcohol consumption etc. Dr. Tarun Kumar further said, “If there is any problem like chest pain or difficulty in breathing in the youth, do not ignore it. Because many times it is seen that many symptoms are seen in front. Heart attack comes, but the youth ignore it thinking that this problem is not seen in them but in people of 50 to 60 years of age. Immediately consult a doctor and get your tests done.” He further added, “Also, exercise daily for a healthy lifestyle and avoid smoking and alcohol consumption. Also, inculcate healthy lifestyle habits in children below the age of 20 years to reduce the incidence of Art Attack in youth.”
