Woman wanted to commit suicide with child, Delhi Police tracked her

New Delhi:

A 19-year-old woman, who had gone from her in-laws’ house in north Delhi to commit suicide along with her infant son, was traced and reunited with her family on Tuesday.

The matter was reported to the Adarsh ​​Nagar police station in northwest Delhi around 12 noon by the woman’s mother, who said it was because of the son-in-law that her daughter had eloped with her grandson.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Usha Rangnani said the information was immediately shared with the RWA, MWA and technical team of the district.

He said the police kept a vigil in Bharat Nagar and shared the information in several WhatsApp groups.

“The team successfully managed to trace the woman from a park in Bharat Nagar. She along with her nine-month-old son was safe but in a depressed condition,” Rangnani said.

The women police personnel counseled her and persuaded her to go home.

The DCP said that she told the police that she had left the house due to domestic issues and told her mother before leaving the house.
