Brianna Marie Shihadeh is a dreadlock artist living in California who is passionate about body modification. She has surgically split her tongue and now says she can taste two different things at the same time. Ms Shihadeh, who has over 228,000 followers on Instagram, recently posted a reel on the social media platform, where she tries Sprite (a soft drink) and water at the same time.

The video captioned “Which two flavors would you try first?” You can see him pouring a glass of water with a glass of sprite. As she cuddles, her split tongue allows her to taste both drinks at the same time. After tasting it, the caption on the video reads, “This sounds weird to my mind”.

The nearly 200,000-viewed video is filled with comments like “this is exactly the quality content I need on a Monday”. One user even asked the question that is it not like drinking them at the same time? Curious”, Ms Shihadeh responded by saying that “you can’t taste it mixed but as two separate things”.

according to British Dental Journal Tongue plucking is dangerous and people who do it are “putting themselves at serious risk of bleeding, infection, and nerve damage.”

Selina Master, Junior Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in the United Kingsham, has said: “As dental surgeons, we have seen some terrifying consequences of these procedures. It is so important that people realize that They are putting themselves at serious risk of significant blood loss, infection, nerve damage and problems with breathing or swallowing.”
