Women Self Help Groups urged to take advantage of Food Processing Fund

Mangaluru City Corporation has asked eligible women self-help groups (SHGs) formed under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods (DAY-NULM) mission to submit their applications for availing funds under Prime Minister’s Food Processing. industry plan.

Corporation Commissioner Akshay Sridhar said in a release that the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries has launched the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Processing Enterprises – PMFME under the self-reliant scheme for implementation between 2020-21 and 2024-25.

Women Self Help Groups will receive investment and seed capital of up to ₹40,000 for purchase of small equipment and assistance for product marketing and branding under this scheme.
