‘Word starts with S but can’t use’: Dravid’s reaction to Indo-Pak bowling comparison is hilarious – watch

crew India Pakistan is set to lock horns for the second time in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 in a Super 4 tie on Sunday. The Men in Blue have been unbeaten in the tournament so far while Babar Azam & Co will go into the bout with a remarkable win against Hong Kong.

Rohit Sharma and his boys pitted against each other after beating Pakistan last Sunday. The Indian pace attack led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up all 10 wickets, restricting the arch-rivals to 147 runs. They next won by 40 runs, but the likes of Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh turned out to be very costly as they conceded 33 runs in the last two overs of Hong Kong’s innings.

The same opposition team was defeated by Pakistan’s bowling attack on Friday. Led by vice-captain Shadab Khan (4 for eight), Babar Azam’s bowlers bundled out Hong Kong for a below-par score of 38, winning the game by 155 runs to confirm a Super 4 spot.

Ahead of Sunday’s Super 4 clash, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid addressed a press conference where he was asked about the bowling line-up of both the teams ahead. Dravid praised the Pakistani bowling attack but also admitted that his team has done “very well” in the ongoing tournament.

,Well their bowlers bowled well too, They are bowling very well. But we also bowled well to restrict them to 147. No matter what score you restrict an opponent to, the numbers may vary, but at the end of the day, bowling analysis is important. You are judged by the results you produce. And the bowling analysis of our fast bowlers was also very good. I definitely respect their (Pakistan) bowling but I believe we also have a very good bowling attack which delivers results.

Dravid’s next statement shook everyone in the room. He said, “It can’t be… I wanted to use a word, but I can’t use that word. It’s going through my mind, but I can’t use it here.”

To help Dravid, another journalist asked if the word was “spirited”. The Indian head coach replied, “No enthusiasm. It’s a bit of four letters, starting with ‘s’.”
