Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Monday that the construction of Bodhghat irrigation project on Indravati river would be started only with the consent of the people of Bastar region. Development works are related to the interest of the people. Baghel told reporters in Kanker district that the Bodhghat project would not be started until the consent of the people of Bastar was obtained.
The Chief Minister claimed that since his government came to power, development works in Bastar are being done at a rapid pace and the economic condition of the people has improved due to the decisions taken by the government to promote rural development and agriculture.
