Mysore Mayor Shivakumar on Monday inaugurated a workshop at the Mysore Municipal Corporation under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM). A workshop was organized for the women self-help groups formed under the mission. In order to uplift the urban poor and provide them livelihood, the Mission aims at social mobilization of economically weaker sections in urban areas, encouraging them to form Self Help Groups and their federations to explore livelihood opportunities. Deputy Mayor Roopa, Additional Commissioner Roopa and members and officers of self-help groups were present.
