World Computer Literacy Day: History and Significance

World Computer Literacy Day originated in India, where an Indian company NIIT started the occasion to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2001, where they observed the literacy ratio on computer usage. It has been observed that across the globe, the number of computer users was just men, women and children had very few connections with PC and other similar technologies.

After that, the firm founded the day, with the goal of teaching not only men but also women. Since 2001, this day is celebrated every year.
