Ola Electric has announced that it will start online shopping for Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro on the eve of World EV Day on September 8, 2021.

Ola Electric has announced that it will open the online shopping window for Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro on September 8, 2021, just a day before World EV Day. The company said that the purchase window will remain open till the stock runs out and the entire process will be digital. Preference will be given to the customers to make early purchases. The Ola S1 and S1 Pro will be offered in a total of 10 colors and two types of finishes. Prices of the Ola S1 electric scooter range start at Rs 99,999 and go up to Rs 129,999 (ex-showroom). These prices are before the introduction of state EV subsidy. After the purchase of the scooter, the customer has to claim the subsidy.

If you wish to finance the purchase of your scooter, Ola will provide financial services. Ola Financial Services (OFS) has tied up with various banks to help customers buy scooters. EMI for Ola S1 starts at Rs 2,999 and for Ola S1 Pro at Rs 3,199. Customers can also make an advance payment of ₹20,000 for the scooter. It will be refundable if you wish to cancel the booking. The company will also allow customers to buy insurance online at the time of booking the scooter.

The test ride of the Ola scooter will start from October 2021 and deliveries will start next month as well. Ola says that the delivery of the scooter will be done directly at the doorstep of the customers and servicing of the scooter will also be done at the doorstep, if required.

Both the S1 and S1 Pro come with a long list of standard features and advanced technology. The electric scooter gets a Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), which offers an octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and high-speed connectivity via 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Ola S1 has claimed a range of 121 km on a single charge while the Ola S1 Pro has claimed a range of 181 km. With the fast charger, both Ola S1 and S1 Pro can be charged with a range of 75 km in just 18 minutes. On the traditional home charging port, the S1 can be charged to 100 percent in 4 hours 48 minutes, while the S1 Pro can be charged to 100 percent in 6 hours 30 minutes.
