A retired UK math teacher says he is the “world’s most prolific sperm donor”. Clive Jones claims to have given birth to 129 babies – with nine more on the way. According to daily mailMr Jones, 66, has been donating sperm using Facebook for almost a decade.

“I’m probably the most prolific sperm donor in the world, now there are 138 ‘babies,’ well, 129 babies born, nine pregnancies going on. I can continue for a few more years. Get to 150 anyway,” They said. derbyshire live,

Mr Jones started donating sperms through Facebook for free because it brings “happiness” to families.

“I know of clinics and sperm dealers that have a higher number, but they don’t donate, but sell semen,” he said. “I think people will understand more if they see the messages I’ve received and pictures of babies with very happy moms.

He said, “I feel the joy it brings. Once a grandmother gave me a message to thank for her granddaughter.”

Mr Jones told Derbyshire Live he started donating sperm for free at the age of 58 – and chose Facebook to connect with the families because he could not become an official donor. In the UK, the upper age limit for sperm banks is 45 years.

The 66-year-old has three children of her own. “It all started nine years ago in May. For some people, having kids is as important as it was for me,” he said.

“I read in some newspapers the plight of some people who can’t have children. Reading the newspaper told how people were using Facebook to make arrangements.”

However, officials have issued a warning against Mr Jones’ activities. According to UK Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority regulations, all donors and patients must be treated in licensed clinics.

“As a UK regulator of fertility treatment and research we do not have the power to stop people from making their own arrangements for sperm donation, but we want to help them get the information and advice they need to make the best informed choices. Which is why we always encourage both donors and patients to seek treatment at a licensed UK clinic,” a spokesman for the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

“If arrangements are made outside the clinic environment there may be medical and legal risks, for example, without the proper consent that the donor may be seen as the legal parent, which includes all rights and responsibilities.

“That’s why we always encourage sperm donors and patients to visit a licensed clinic, where these medical and legal issues are taken care of, and where the welfare of the child is always a primary concern.”
