Worried about spending long hours on Instagram, FB? Here’s How To Control

Worried that your child is glued to the smartphone screen all day? Or you just want to regulate your own screen time. If yes, then we have a solution for you. Apple iPhones have a ‘Screen Time’ feature that allows you to view the amount of time you have spent on the apps installed on your device.

according to a Apple Support page, Screen Time lets one know how much time they spend on apps, websites and more. This way, users can make more informed decisions about how to use their devices, and set limits if one wishes.

Here’s how to enable Screen Time on your iPhone:

Go to Settings on your Apple Iphone

Then tap on Screen Time

– Toggle Screen Time on here

– Tap on it again

– Next, you can select this mine [device] or is it my baby [device],

Once Screen Time is enabled, you’ll see a report showing how you use your device, apps, and websites. Next, if you want to limit the amount of time spent on individual apps, the Apple iPhone has the ‘App Limits’ feature. With this feature you can set daily limit for app category with app limit. For example, you might want to see productivity apps when you’re at work, but not social networking or games. App Limits refresh every day at midnight, and you can remove them at any time.

To set app limits:

– Go to Settings and go to Screen Time

– Here tap on the App Limits option and hit the Add Limits button

– You can choose here the app categories for which you want to set a time limit. Then choose the apps you want. Note that the time limit you set for apps/categories applies to all.

– Tap on the Next button. Here, you’ll be able to ‘Customize Days’ and specifically set limits for each day.

– When finished, press the Add button
