WPL auction: From key players to maximum salary purse to minimum squad strength, know all the details

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction is scheduled to take place on Monday, February 13. With 409 players auctioned, the inaugural season will be a treat for cricket fans as five teams will compete for the title. Each team has been allocated a purse of Rs 12 crore while the latest broadcast deal puts the value of each match at Rs 7 crore.

The base prices have been set in five brackets with a minimum of Rs 10 lakh and a maximum of Rs 50 lakh. The other brackets are Rs 20, 30 and 40 lakh respectively.

It is expected that members of this current Indian squad and those from Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa will be the most sought after players in the auction.
