Women’s Premier League (WPL) franchise Gujarat Giants on Sunday said that they could not get the medical clearance for the all-rounder in time. deandra dotinDue to which he had to replace Australian all-rounder Kim Garth for the league. On Sunday, the Giants released a statement saying, “Deandra is a world-class player and an amazing signing for the franchise. Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain medical clearance before the scheduled deadline for this season, thus Clearance is necessary for all.” Players participating in WPL. Dottin was bought by the Giants for Rs 60 lakh. His base price was Rs 50 lakh.

Garth, on the other hand, went unsold in the auction held last month. She moved to Australia after completing the necessary formalities and signed a three-year deal with the Melbourne Stars in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). She was part of the Australian team that won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa, although she did not play any matches.

Garth joined the Giants’ squad on Friday but did not play in the tournament’s opening match against Mumbai Indians, which the Giants lost by 143 runs.
