Belgrade: Indian wrestler Nisha Dahiya Missed out on world championship medals as she lost to former world champion Linda Moriso Canada entered the women’s 68kg bronze play-off here on Thursday.
The 24-year-old Nisha, who won a bronze medal in the 65kg at the Under-23 World Championships last year, lost to Morris, who won the bronze medal in a victory by fall (VFA) decision.
Nisha made headlines last year when she was mistaken for a wrestler killed in Sonepat.
Earlier, she reached the semi-finals with victories over Lithuania’s Danute Domikaite (technical superiority win; 11–0), Czech Republic’s Adela Hanjliková (13–8) and Sofia Georgieva (technical superiority win; 11–0). . Bulgaria.
