X-ray Images of Animals Shared by San Diego’s Zoo Stuns Internet

The San Diego Zoo recently posted X-ray photos of the animals living in various enclosures on Instagram. Users were stunned to see these pictures. This post was made two days ago on the official Instagram account of the zoo. The zoo also explained the slides shared.

The first X-ray picture talked about newborn orangutans. He also noted that the second and third images depict a frog and a map turtle, respectively.

Sharing the post, the zoo wrote, “Hopefully we don’t get flagged for this x-ray-ted material.”

“Slide 1: Orangutan baby, Slide 2: Frog, Slide 3: Map turtle,” the zoo continued.

Since being shared, the post has garnered over 29,000 likes and several comments.

The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Coalition in the United States recently welcomed 41 small hatchlings of the Indian narrow-headed softshell turtle, a rare and endangered turtle that takes nearly two decades to breed. According to NPR, the eggs of these rare turtles were first hatched in North America by a recognized conservation organization.
