The new and revived Yezdi range of motorcycles is going on sale in India today. Classic Legends Private Limited, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra, which is also the parent company of Jawa Motorcycles, has revived the modern Classic range of motorcycles and will sell it along with Jawa Motorcycles in the same dealership. Classic Legends is expected to introduce three new bikes under the revived Yezdi brand name. All the three bikes are expected to be based on the same platform, and we expect the bike to use a 334cc single-cylinder motor as seen on the Jawa Perak.

The Yezdi Roadster is also similar in appearance and appeal to the Jawa Forty-Two and will cater to the same set of customers.
The Yazdi brand will be the third revival from Classic Legends after Jawa and more recently, the BSA, which has been announced for the European and US markets for now. The Yezdi brand was a creation of Adarsh Jawa, owned by an Iranian family, who sold licensed Jawa motorcycles in India in 1960. The Yezdi brand was introduced in 1973 by the same firm and was based on the Czech-origin Jawa bikes.

The Scrambler is the lightest, and has the shortest wheelbase, getting more suspension travel and ground clearance than the Roadster, but less than the Adventure.
