Yoga creating perfect balance between mind and body: Kurnool MP

A professional doctor and Kurnool MP S. Sanjeev Kumar said that yoga is all about striking the right balance between body and mind to keep oneself healthy.

“Yoga asanas can help people avoid drugs and cure many diseases,” he said at an event organized by Kurnool Municipal Corporation on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at the city’s outdoor stadium.

Young experts Prasanna, a software engineer, and Lalana, a student, demonstrated some yoga postures to a gathering of politicians, officials, and students.

City Mayor BY Ramaiah said that KMC will make every effort to introduce yoga along with physical exercises and exercises in all schools of the city. He said that 50 percent of diseases can be prevented or cured by practicing yoga regularly. Panayam MLA Katasani Rambhupal also showed keen interest in doing yoga asanas.

At Government Medical College, Anantapur, NSS Unit in association with NYK Anantapur and Sai Trust Organization organized the 8th International Yoga Day celebrations.

The program was attended by the teaching faculty and 200 college students. Prizes were presented to the winners of the quiz competition by Medical College Principal Neerja Myreddy, Additional Superintendent of Police Anantapur Hanumanthu and AP Natak Akademi President Haritha. NSS Project Officer Adireddy Pardesi Naidu and volunteers coordinated.

The ceremony at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University was led by Registrar C. Shashidhar, at the Central University of Andhra Pradesh led by Vice Chancellor SA Kori, and at Sri Krishnadevaraya University by the NSS unit.
