Among our favourite fast food chains, the sandwich chain Subway occupies a special place. Whenever we want to grab a quick bite that is fulfilling and delicious – Subway is our first choice. The sandwich chain has been in the news for reasons more than one. Recently, their marketing campaign with Indian chess legend Viswanathan Anand garnered appreciation from Twitter users. And now, Subway has announced a new contest in the USA where one lucky fan will get free Subway sandwiches for life.

“How much do you love subway’s new deli heroes? Enough to change your first name to subway and get them free for life? Your chance is almost here,” read the official website for the challenge. The contest begins on August 1 and is open to US-based participants who are above 18 years of age. The condition or the catch in the challenge that you have to complete is that you must legally change your first name to Subway. Once you do this, the sandwich chain will reward you with free sandwiches for the rest of your life!
“A check or prepaid card for $750 to reimburse the winner for the cost of the winner legally changing the first name to Subway and $50,000 worth of Subway gift cards that may be used to buy Subway food for the rest of the winner’s life, fulfilled at one time,” read the release. The total retail value of the prize would be about $50,750 or Rs. 41.8 lakhs approximately.
In 2022, Subway launched a similar contest in the month of July. They invited participants to get a tattoo to win cash prizes. The size of the tattoo would determine the value of the prize, as per the contest rules. Click here to read more about this story.
