You: CR slams you, says free won’t work. Surat News – Times of India

face: Gujarat BJP President CR Patilo On Saturday targeted the Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejrival And called him a “mahathug” trying to woo voters in Gujarat with the promise of free gifts, adding that such proposals won’t get him votes in the state.
Without naming Kejriwal, Patil said some political leaders, when elections are near, start coming to the state like “frogs in the monsoon”.
Gujarat likely to go to polls in December and Aam Aadmi Party is preparing to replace it Congress As a person challenging the BJP which has been ruling the state for the last 27 years.
Kejriwal had recently held a rally in south Gujarat’s Bharuch district, and also participated in a roadshow in Ahmedabad with party colleague and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
“When elections are near, leaders of some political parties come to Gujarat like frogs in monsoon. When he wears a muffler, it means winter has arrived in Delhi. Addressing BJP workers in Kadodara during the ruling party’s ‘One Day One District’ program, Patil said, this man is not a ‘thug (cheat)’ but a mahathug.
“He (Kejriwal) tries to give free gifts in the state. I have said this publicly before and will say again that Gujarat has its own culture. Gujaratis have a specialty. They raise their hands to give, not to take. (Gujarati) do not like freebies. Offering him a freebie will not get you votes,” said the Navsari Lok Sabha member.
Patil lauded the BJP for its administration and said Gujarat was saved from power cuts despite facing power cuts in some states.
Describing BJP workers as soldiers moving forward with determination towards the target of 2022 (assembly elections), Patil said, “Nobody has the power to stop Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ashwamedha Yagya.” The AAP’s Gujarat unit reacted to Patil’s remarks on the free gift, calling it an “insult to the people of Gujarat”.
“You don’t have any problem in getting free electricity bill, petrol allowance, phone bill, medical facilities from the tax money of the people of Gujarat. But you get pain when someone talks of giving free to people from your tax money. You should apologize to the people of Gujarat,” said AAP leader Isudan Gadhvi. PTI
