There’s a dedicated “Show Transcript” button below the video’s description. GSM Arena stated that while the transcript is very similar to its desktop version, it is compatible with the UI of the mobile.

This feature has proven particularly useful in long videos, as it helps find or extract favorite quotes by searching the video’s automatically generated transcript. like very much Google Updates to apps, this also seems to be server-side.

In another related update, Android users will no longer be able to use the popular YouTube Vanced application. according to this ledgeThe creators of Vanced have decided to discontinue the application in the coming days due to “legal reasons”.

Note: YouTube Vanced is a version of the native app that allows users to block all video ads on YouTube without a premium subscription. Vanced also includes a true black theme, and customization isn’t offered in the official YouTube for Android app.

“Vanced has been discontinued. In the coming days, the download link on the website will be removed. We know this is not something you want to hear, but it is something we need to do.” Thank you all for supporting us over the years,” a post read on the Twitter handle of the Vanced application. Currently installed versions will work fine, “as long as they don’t become out of date in 2 years or more.”
