YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) president YS Sharmila on Thursday sought Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan’s intervention in the alleged attack on his party workers during their padayatra and urged the governor to seek a report from the state government.

Sharmila, along with leaders of her party, met Sundararajan at the Raj Bhavan here and alleged that the ruling TRS was behind Monday’s “attack” near Warangal.

“For one year and covering a distance of 3,500 kms across the state, our ‘Padayatra’ is garnering immense response and participation from the people. This certainly has not gone down well with the TRS government and they are trying to dent our morale.
