With tension rising in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district over the death of Subramaniam, the driver of (Yuvjan Shramik Rythu Congress Party) YSRCP MLC Anantha Uday Bhaskar, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy had directed officials to take fair action against the culprits. The investigation has been intensified as soon as the instructions are received from the CM.

According to the family, Subramaniam was called by MLC Ananth Babu at around 9.30 pm on Thursday night. Later, the MLC handed over his body to his family at around 2 am on Friday, May 20. The family said that Anant Babu told them that he had died in an accident.

Based on the allegations made by the parents of the deceased that Anant Babu was involved in the case, CM Jagan directed the officials to thoroughly investigate the matter and book the culprits. The CM instructed the officials, “Don’t spare anyone, do a thorough investigation into the matter and ensure that the guilty are brought to justice.”

Kakinada SP Rabindranath Babu has directed the officials to take MLC Anant Babu into custody in this case.

Addressing a press conference, SP Rabindranath Babu said, “Police has conducted the post-mortem and the case will be registered under Section 174 to 302 of the earlier”.

“Earlier a case was registered under section 174. Now a case under section 302 will be registered,” the SP said.

This is the second time that CM Jagan has directed officials to take serious action in law and order matters. Earlier, the CM had directed officials to take action against YS Kona Reddy in an extortion case.
