Kanpur: Two days after the murder of a civilian worker in Govind Nagar Kachi Basti area, the police on Thursday registered a case against ten people, including four brothers.
The 35-year-old civic activist was murdered after an altercation with local goons in the area.
The brother of the deceased had filed a case against 10 accused including four brothers and their uncle under various sections. Indian Penal Code section.
The police detained eight accused till Thursday morning, while the main accused, including a man and his nephew, are absconding. Station Incharge Rohit Tiwari Told that eight accused have been taken into custody and the police team is raiding the possible locations in search of the main accused, including a man and his nephew. He will be arrested soon.
