Ahead of the elections, Kharge tried to rubbish the BJP’s charge that he would be nothing but “remote control” of the Gandhi family.
“Many people say I am remote control and work from behind. They say I will do what Sonia Gandhi says. There is no such thing as remote control in Congress, people take decisions together. It’s your thinking. Some people are creating this idea,” Kharge said.
He said decisions would be taken by “our committee, elected members, working committee and parliamentary board”.
