100% pass in SSLC exam for children in government homes

All the students who appeared in SSLC examinations in Government Children’s Homes and Observation Homes under the Department of Women and Child Development have become eligible for higher studies.

101 students residing in 15 children’s homes and two observation homes took the exam. They are children who need care and protection and who violate the law.

The minister said the government was trying to improve their living conditions and ensure their education.

They were provided with the services of psychological evaluation and counsellor. Tuition to improve their academic performance, the services of a teacher to supervise their studies, and training for those interested in the arts were also provided.

The Minister congratulated all the passed out students and the staff who helped them to achieve success.

He visited Sri Chitra Home and Government Children’s Home in Poojapura and interacted with the children there. A painting was presented to the minister by one of the residents of the house. He also appreciated the wall painting done by five other children at home.
