11-year-old American boy called 911 for help, police arrived and shot him

The family is demanding body camera footage of the shooting.

An 11-year-old boy in the United States state of Mississippi was shot by police officers in his home after he called the 911 emergency telephone number for help. The injured youth is undergoing treatment after being discharged from the hospital.

The boy has been identified as Adrian Murry, and his family is alleging the officer was fired and shot.

“Adrienne was shot in the chest by an officer of the Indianola Police Department on Saturday morning while the officer was responding to a domestic disturbance call at the child’s home,” Nacala Muri, the boy’s mother, said. CNN,

Narrating the situation, Mrs Muri said the “irate” father of her another child reached her home at 4 am on Saturday. Worried about his safety, Murry tells Adrienne to call the police.

She said that the policeman appeared at the front door with “his gun drawn” and “told those inside the house to come out.” She claimed that when her son emerged from the corner of a hallway and entered the main area, “he was shot.”

“I don’t understand why. The same cop told him to come out of the house. (Adrian) did, and he was shot. He kept asking, ‘Why did he shoot me? What did I do wrong? did?'” she said.

Body camera footage has not yet been made public CNN article, and the lawyer claimed that his request for body camera footage was denied due to “an ongoing investigation”.

The Indianola Police Department said the officer involved in the incident was Greg Capers.
