Automakers including Toyota Motor Corp, Volkswagen AG, Hyundai Motor Company and BMW AG, which said they collectively employed more than 9,000 California residents in 2020 and generated $19.7 billion for the state’s economy, said Democratic Senator Diane Feinstein and Alex Padilla in a letter seen.
