Waterloo Regional Police say the allegations of assault on a 12-year-old stemmed from a dog spray incident in Kitchener on Monday afternoon.
Police say officers were called to Kingsway Drive and Wilson Avenue after it was reported that the suspect had pointed a can of dog spray at another person.
The officer who reached the spot arrested the youth.
They say Kitchener’s 12-year-old boy is facing multiple charges, including assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
