A total of 15 people were found infected with Kovid-19 in Tamil Nadu on Thursday. One person died of infection. A 58-year-old woman from Tiruchy, who had high blood pressure and malignant disease with lung metastasis, was admitted to a private hospital on May 11 with fever, cough and difficulty in breathing. She tested positive for COVID-19 on 15 May and died on 17 May due to COVID-19 pneumonia. Three new cases each were reported in Chennai and Kanyakumari and two in Chengalpattu. Coimbatore did not report any case. A total of 78 people have been discharged and 189 people are under treatment. A total of 5,180 samples were tested.
