Shobhana – Kalluri
In this Balaji Sakthivel directorial based on the Dharmapuri bus burning incident, Tamannaah plays the role of Shobhana, a college student. The actress subtly portrays various emotions – a sense of loss, despair, the joy in forming a beautiful bond of friendship with some of her classmates, falling in love and the compulsion to be engulfed by fire in the film’s climax. With this role, Tamannaah proved that she is not just a pretty face.
