When Alia Bhatt announced on Instagram that she and husband Ranbir Kapoor are expecting a baby, it took her fans and followers by surprise. But there is a Reddit user who posted on the platform in April that the actor is pregnant. The moderators of the BollyBlindsNGossip sub-reddit banned the user, calling it a “quora rumour”, part of a “fan war”.
But now, the ban has been lifted and Reddit users have said that they should be given an award.
In a Reddit post on BollyBlindsNGossip in April, newbee_forfun user said, “Apparently Ms. Bhatt is pregnant. The source is an assistant who is a friend/makeup artist.”
It attracted many negative reactions from members, who called it “outrageous gossip”. Some users even wanted to know why the makeup artist decided to share such personal information with them.
“I love it when people get it salty. The artist heard something. She went on to gossip. It’s a gossip sub. I tried to help. Enjoy. Guess what. And I feel goodbye,” newbee_forfun said while replying to a Redditor.
Terming this news as fake, the moderators took immediate action and banned it and also deleted the post.
When the news was confirmed by the actor two days ago, that action was reversed and many Reddit users welcomed newbee_forfun.
One user said, “Give the award to the Redditor who told us this news a month ago.”
“Now you have to tell us whether it’s a boy or a girl. I knew Dr. was not allowed to reveal the sex of the baby, but that may have already been shown,” added another.
Meanwhile, the user thanked the Reddit community and said that his source was legitimate.
“Hey guys 🙂 I’ve been banned. Thanks for giving me credit. And it’s okay I understand it sounded untrue at the time. But I know the source was legit. And don’t ask anymore I’ll tell when I really know something,” she said in her remarks.
