2 people missing in floods in northwest Turkey – Times of India

Istanbul: Two people missing due to heavy rain and flooding in the northwest turkey,
interior Minister Suleiman Soylu said on Tuesday that one of the missing is an excavator operator who was washed away in the flood duzce province And the other is a resident of a village in Kastamonu province.
Rivers were in spate and bridges collapsed on Monday due to heavy rains in six provinces. Officials evacuated stranded locals and said a potentially deadly disaster was averted as residents heeded weather warnings.
Last August, floods killed 82 people in three northwestern Turkish provinces.
