Dhanbad: The Wasseypur area of Dhanbad, which is infamous for frequent gang wars, is once again in the news after two youths were brutally murdered in a narrow lane near Ara More on Sunday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Sahil (19) and . as happened MD Sohailo (21) Both are residents of Maroofganj locality of Wasseypur. Both worked as personal assistants Guria KhanAyesha Khan’s daughter Wasseypur kingpin Faheem Khan, However, the police denied the claims of gang war and said that it could be a result of internal fighting.
According to the information received, at around eight o’clock in the night, when someone saw two bodies covered in blood in a narrow street, they informed the police. When the police reached the spot, they saw the internal organs of the two bodies coming out. Police took the bodies to SNMMCH where doctors declared them brought dead.
The officer-in-charge of Bank More police said, “The murder seems to have been committed in anger as more than a dozen wounds caused by sharp weapons were found on the bodies.” PK Singh, said on Monday. “The deceased must have cried for help, but no one heard anything, suggesting that the murder took place when the loudspeakers of a nearby mosque were running for azaan,” he said. Later, as the news spread, hundreds of people gathered at the spot and created a ruckus demanding the harshest punishment to the killers. Guria Khan’s family members alleged that both were killed in a conspiracy to destroy his family. Meanwhile, heavy police force has been deployed in various areas of Wasseypur to avoid untoward incidents. About three months ago, bombs were hurled at Guria Khan’s car and she filed an FIR against Faheem Khan’s sons for trying to kill her at Bhuli police station.
Dhanbad SSP Sanjeev Kumar Denied the claims of gang war and said that it was the result of an internal feud. “We have got some leads and the killers will be nabbed soon,” he said.
