Hyundai is set to unveil the 2022 Creta facelift in Indonesia today, and ahead of its official debut, images of the production SUV have been leaked online. The design sketch of the car was revealed even before it would share its visual cues with HyundaiBig SUVs like the new Tucson and Santa Cruz SUVs were sold in global markets, and these images confirm that speculation. While the basic silhouette of the SUV has been dropped, the Creta facelift gets a new facelift with a new parametric grille, a more muscular character line, new LED headlamps and a new bumper with a wider airdam.

Engine details are unknown, but we expect it to get a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine in both manual and automatic options. In India, the SUV also gets a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol motor and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. They may also be on offer in Indonesia. Hyundai India launched the new-gen Creta in 2020 last year, so it will take some time for the SUV to arrive in India. We don’t expect anything later than 2022.
