2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic launched tomorrow: Expected price, variants – Times of India

All new facelifted version of Mahindra Scorpio Now to be called ‘Classic’ is all set to launch on 20th August. The automaker is expected to announce the prices and variants of the Scorpio Classic, which is commanding respectable demand despite the recent arrival of its bigger and better sibling. Scorpio – N. Here are the variant details and expected price figures that are likely to be revealed after the launch of the Classic.

Two types:
Mahindra will offer the Scorpio Classic in two simplified variants for this facelift. These will be known as Classic S and Classic S11. The Classic S will feature unpainted cladding and bumpers, both being more basic. However, it will still feature new designs for the parts. It will further sport 17-inch steel rims, vinyl upholstery, power steering, ABS, dual front airbags and engine start/stop.
On the other hand, the Classic S11 will be a fully loaded Scorpio with all the latest updates. It will now feature projector headlamps and static bending lamps with LED eyebrows. Mahindra has also integrated new LED DRLs into the redesigned front bumper. Apart from the painted bumper and cladding, the S11 will also sport new 17-inch machine cut alloy wheels with a new design. Inside the S11 there’s a new 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, quilted fabric seat, armrests, automatic climate control, cruise control, and more.

The new Twin Peaks logo, and Gen 2 – 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine is standard across all variants. The Gen 2 mHawk produces 130 bhp and 300 Nm of torque which is mated to an all-new 6-speed manual transmission. Mahindra has also re-tuned the front and rear suspension along with MTV-CL dampers which will enable better high-speed handling and maneuverability in the Scorpio Classic.

All these upgrades make up the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic, which is expected to launch between Rs 12 and 16 lakhs.
