Toyota is all set to launch the new generation Glanza in India today and as we already know, it is a re-badged variant of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno which was recently launched in India. The model was the first product to arrive in India under the Suzuki-Toyota partnership and the 2022 Toyota Glanza takes a similar route with a few cosmetic updates in its face. The new Glanza will continue to be Toyota’s entry-level offering in India, promising the brand a higher penetration in Tier II and Tier III markets, where the predecessor did well.

Toyota Glanza will get a new grille.
The 2022 Toyota Glanza will come with a significant cosmetic update that differentiates it from the Baleno. This includes a new grille, bumper, and a redesigned front with revised headlamps. The leaked images promise the front design language to be more in-line with the Toyota model, while the rear features C-shaped LED taillights from the Baleno. The new Glanza will also get new alloy wheels as part of the visual change.

The new Toyota Glanza will be loaded with features packing a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a heads-up display, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and more. Power will come from a 1.2-litre K-series petrol engine that is tuned for 88 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 4,400 rpm. The motor will be mated to a five-speed manual and AMT option.
